Ire-Tex Corporation is part of a world-wide organization that provides a global supply chain to several multinational companies. This gives us an advantage in certain raw materials and we can pass those savings on to you. If your company uses plank and roll stock polyethylene foam we can supply you with a low cost alternative that meets or exceeds the performance of competitive foams. This foam comes from our own extruder in Xiamen, China. The foam business unit was founded by an Ohio State graduate who absolutely understands what we are looking for in quality, dimension, and consistency. We have repeatedly tested this foam in our ISTA Certified Lab and the results have been consistently excellent.

We have been using this foam in our manufacturing facility for well over a year and we have yet to reject a plank. That’s over 70 containers without a single quality issue. Our customers really like the foam and it’s a breeze to design with – no nominal dimensions: 2 inches is actually 2 inches. We have all dealt with the plus or minus 1/8” or even ¼” so it is really nice to lay out a design that you don’t have to second guess because of nominal dimensions.

We do not have the green tint for 1.2 or the blue tint for 1.7. This foam is not tinted or dyed so it is a good candidate for recyclability. Naturally colored PE resin is white and has a higher demand (and commands a much higher price) than the mixed or gray colored resin. All of the foam is lot bagged for cleanliness and clearly marked with the density.
